eXp Realty Revenue Share & My Real Estate Exit Plan

October 26, 2026•5 min read

It costs us about two grand to fill our tank every time we move to the next location. We have a semi-truck hauling our RV; the whole rig is 86 feet long, and diesel was running $8.79 a gallon. When people ask why I take RevShare so seriously, that's the honest answer. We're working for diesel.

I got out of production in January 2025

I've been in real estate for 21 years. I sold in the $300K to $500K range for almost 20 of them. I joined eXp in 2022, broke into luxury in 2023, and launched coaching in 2024. I stepped out of production in January 2025, and I've been doing Agent Attraction for about three years.

Now I'm full-time on the road. My husband and I are rolling across the country, visiting my agents and having events to help them grow and sell more houses. I absolutely love it. It also costs real money to keep moving, and my RevShare is what keeps it moving.

500 is the comfy number

This week I was on Jon Pugh's Agent Attraction call, and he asked everyone to share their goals. Mine was 500 agents in my group. I said it because I feel like that's a very comfy number to be able to do this more comfortably.

That's my real reason. It's a fuel bill, a next location, and another event with my agents. When your number is tied to something you can picture, you work it differently.

If you can build 50, you can build 500

Jon told us the story of AJ Maida, who spent two years driving around the country in an RV talking to agents about eXp. AJ says if you can build a group of 50, you can build a group of 500, and if you can build a group of 500, you can build 5,000.

So I said, all right, we're going to 5,000.

I'm writing it here because public accountability helps you hit your goals, and now it's public.

I look at the list all the time

I'll be honest, I look at the attraction list all the time. I chase Amy Gregory and GoGo, and every time I check, I'm like, I'm going, I'm going.

On that same call, Jon shared a way to use the list that I really like. Screenshot it. Find the five people ahead of you and the five people behind you. Message them and ask if they want to be your accountability group, since you're right next to each other in the rankings. Then post your numbers in that group every day. You can't show up to that group and fail to perform, because you don't want them to win.

Then pick one person further up the list, someone you know or respect, and make them the person you're going to chase down.

I already know who I'm chasing. I'll have to go see who's by me.

What you can do today

If you're building a RevShare group, here's what you can do today.

Give your number a reason you can actually picture. Mine is diesel. Yours might be your kids, your Fridays, or getting out of the production seat.

Then pull up the list, find the people right next to you, and invite them into an accountability group. Pick the person you're chasing, and post your numbers every day.

Frequently Asked Questions About eXp Realty Revenue Share and Building a Real Estate Exit Plan

How does eXp Realty revenue share work?

eXp Realty offers a revenue share program that allows eligible agents to earn compensation based on qualifying production within their sponsored organization, subject to the company's program rules.

Unlike traditional real estate income, which generally requires agents to continue closing transactions, revenue share can provide an additional income stream as an organization grows and produces.

Revenue share isn't guaranteed or automatically passive. Earnings depend on qualifying activity, company rules, and the performance of the organization.

Can Realtors retire from selling homes by building an eXp Realty organization?

It's possible to build a business that allows you to reduce or step away from personal production, but it takes planning, leadership, and sustainable income.

I stepped out of production in January 2025 after more than 20 years in real estate.

Today, I focus on luxury coaching, supporting my national real estate organization, and helping other agents grow.

For me, the goal was never simply to stop selling houses. It was to create a business that gave me more choices about how I spend my time.

What is a real estate exit plan?

A real estate exit plan is a strategy for creating financial and operational options beyond personally closing transactions.

That might include building a team, developing leadership, investing, creating educational programs, or developing additional income streams.

My exit plan involved moving to eXp Realty, breaking into luxury real estate, growing my national organization, and building my coaching business.

Do you have to recruit agents to earn eXp Realty revenue share?

eXp Realty's revenue share program is connected to agent sponsorship and qualifying production within an organization.

However, I believe building an organization should be about more than attracting agents.

My focus is helping agents grow their businesses through luxury coaching, marketing strategies, AI, automation, and meaningful support.

When you lead with value, you give agents a reason to want to build alongside you.
